Assets Basics
Save, find, apply, and reuse canvas material across ViraFlow projects.
What an asset is
An asset is material you want to use again.
In ViraFlow, assets can include images, videos, and text material. They can be used as characters, scenes, props, objects, style references, prompts, clips, or other reusable pieces of a workflow.
Assets help you avoid rebuilding the same reference every time you start a new project.
What to save
Save material that is:
- clear enough to recognize later
- useful in more than one project
- hard to recreate
- part of a repeated character, product, scene, or style
- safe for you to reuse
Do not save every test. A library full of weak results becomes hard to search.
Save from the canvas
You can save useful material from the canvas.
Common ways to save:
- right-click a media node and choose
Save to My Assets - select multiple useful images and save selected items to assets
- use
Save to assetsfromRecent Results
When saving, give the asset a name you can recognize. Add a note if the reason for saving is not obvious.
Use My Assets
Open Assets from the left toolbar.
Inside My Assets, you can:
- search by name
- filter by category
- view an asset
- use one asset on the canvas
- use several selected assets
- download selected assets
- delete assets you no longer need
If you opened the asset library from a node, the panel works as a picker. Choose an asset that matches the node type. For example, use an image asset for an Image node and a video asset for a Video node.
Assets and Recent Results are different
Recent Results shows generated media from the current project.
Assets is for material you intentionally save for reuse.
Use Recent Results to recover or insert something you just generated. Use
Assets for material you want to keep beyond the current test.
Good asset names
Use clear names:
- “Blue hoodie character front view”
- “Product hero image black background”
- “Clean studio lighting reference”
- “Vertical intro clip version 2”
Good names save time later. Avoid names like “test 1” unless the item is truly temporary.
