Grid Split
Split a single image sheet into separate reusable tiles.
What Grid Split does
Grid Split turns one image sheet into separate image tiles. Use it when a storyboard sheet, contact sheet, collage, or multi-angle grid contains useful individual frames.
When to use it
Use Grid Split when:
- one sheet contains several frames
- a 4-panel or 25-frame storyboard needs separate images
- a multi-angle grid should become individual references
- you want to reuse one tile as a video first frame
Split a grid
- Select an Image node that contains a grid.
- Choose
Grid Split. - Pick the grid size or custom rows and columns.
- Confirm the split.
- Review the created tiles.
- Keep useful tiles and delete weak ones.
What to check
Make sure each tile contains the full frame you need. If the grid lines are not even, use a custom grid.
