Image Tools Basics

Prepare, edit, organize, and reuse image material inside the ViraFlow canvas.

What image tools are for

Image tools help you make better visual inputs for the canvas.

Use them before video generation when an image needs better framing, cleaner lighting, a clearer subject, a different angle, or a reusable storyboard layout.

Better image inputs usually create more stable video outputs.

Start from an Image node

Most image work starts from an Image node.

You can:

  • upload an image from your device
  • choose an image from Assets
  • generate an image from text
  • use connected reference nodes
  • set model, aspect ratio, resolution, and image count when those controls are shown

Keep the source image nearby. It helps you compare versions and understand why a later result worked.

Edit and repair an image

Select an Image node and use the image actions that match the problem:

ToolUse it when
CropThe frame has extra space or needs a tighter composition
Rotate & FlipThe image direction or orientation is wrong
UpscaleThe image is useful but too low resolution
Remove BackgroundYou need a clean subject for product or character work
ExpandThe framing is too tight and needs more space around it
RepaintOne selected area should become something else
EraseA selected object or defect should be removed
Multi-angleYou need a new view while keeping the source image related
360You need a panorama-style source image or captured views
Grid SplitOne sheet should become separate reusable image tiles

For repaint and erase, draw or mark the area first. If no area is selected, ViraFlow will ask you to create a mask.

Use image shortcuts

Image shortcuts help you create common creator assets quickly.

Available shortcuts can include:

  • Character Turnaround for front, side, and back full-body views
  • Face Turnaround for chest-up face angles
  • Product Turnaround for product views
  • 4-Panel Storyboard for a compact story sequence
  • 25-Frame Storyboard for a longer visual progression sheet
  • 3 Seconds Later to continue a scene forward
  • 5 Seconds Earlier to infer the setup before a frame
  • 360 for a panorama source image
  • Multi-Angle 9-Grid for nine camera angles in one sheet
  • Cinematic Relight to improve lighting while keeping the image

Use shortcuts when the goal matches the label. Use normal generation when you need a custom result.

Organize storyboard images

When you have multiple image nodes, select them and create a storyboard group.

In a Storyboard Group, you can:

  • keep images in a visible order
  • show or hide numbers
  • add images to slots
  • clear the storyboard
  • convert it back to a regular group
  • ungroup it
  • export the group as one PNG sheet
  • stitch images into a single combined image
  • create batch video nodes after the images are ready

This is useful before turning a script into several video clips.

Save useful images

Save images that you expect to reuse:

  • a stable character reference
  • a clean product image
  • a style reference
  • a strong storyboard frame
  • a background or scene you may use again

Do not save every test. Too many weak assets make the library harder to use.
